
General Programme Information
The English for Business course is specifically designed for students to improve their four main skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking, so that they can communicate effectively in a business setting.
Tutors use a variety of teaching techniques and materials such as video clips, textbooks, internet videos and powerpoint lessons to create dynamic and interesting lessons. Lessons include:
- Letters, email, memo and report writing.
- Listening within a commercial and business focus.
- Listening, speaking, pronunciation and phonology skills.
- Study of grammatical and lexical skills.
- Reading and writing.
- Business communication
- Customer Service.
- Project Work and presentations.
- Skills development for use of English in business setting.

All EFB courses are aligned with CEF Levels A1+-C1( Elementary to Advanced)

Students have the option of obtaining an English for Business (EFB) certificate combined with an ELSA certificate from LCCI.

Course Progression
TCI have a full range of professional courses (diploma to postgraduate level) for you to progress to once you have completed EFB. All professional courses contain English as a Foreign Language modules.

- Once you enrol, you will be asked to take a placement exam so we can place you in the correct level of English class.
- You will receive an information pack with details on your course content and college information.
